Leadership Training Institute (LTI) was established in 2019 with a compelling vision: to raise up faithful disciples who would proclaim the Gospel of Christ, both in their local communities and wherever God might lead them. This vision was born out of a deep burden to equip and empower individuals for effective ministry, ensuring that the transformative message of the Gospel reached every corner of society.
LTI began its journey by focusing on the churches in Andhra Pradesh, particularly those within the Telugu-speaking community. The initial phase of the work involved conducting training sessions aimed at both pastors and believers, with a strong emphasis on evangelism. Typically, LTI organized two seminars each month, each involving five churches and approximately 30 participants per seminar.
This grassroots effort quickly bore fruit, producing over 100 pastors who expressed a keen interest in furthering their training through LTI’s Diploma Certificate Program. Recognizing the potential impact of these committed leaders, LTI selected 45 pastors to undergo more intensive training.
In January 2020, LTI launched its structured training program for these 45 pastors. The program involved monthly seminars that spanned 2–4 days, focusing on deepening the participants’ theological understanding and practical ministry skills. Each seminar was designed to be rigorous, with pastors required to answer 10 review questions from each lesson, complete assignments, and pass review question exams. As the program progressed, it became evident that this training was not just academic but also formative. The pastors were evaluated on various criteria, including regular attendance, thorough completion of assignments, and performance in both written exams and essay questions. In addition to the seminar-based evaluations, the pastors were required to pass a licensure exam, which would qualify them for a certificate
The pastors who participated in this initial training phase are set to complete their Diploma in early 2022. This milestone not only marks the culmination of their rigorous training but also serves as a gateway to further opportunities. Upon successful completion, these pastors will be eligible for ordination in a new denomination called New Life Churches of India (NLCI), which will further extend the reach and impact of LTI’s ministry. LTI’s commitment to equipping leaders for effective ministry has laid a solid foundation for future growth and expansion, with plans to
continue training and sending out Gospel-centered leaders to reach even more communities across India and beyond.
